Our society holds a new, extreme breed of hatred. While in the past when civil rights were sought after in America, physical means were used to damage the “undesirable” or “different”, our society makes use of what we have today. We have the means of damaging others, destroying others, killing others, without ever leaving our houses. We have phones with internet, various social medias, and the likes that enable many to take action based on corrupt views. We also have a damaged society, one that has become ignorant in means of strict values. We, as a society, despise that which is different in any way. We, the society, the living generations, are all responsible for a hatred both growing and shrinking. While awareness and a struggle to break the hatred creates a slow progress, the ignorance of society makes it sluggish. Ignorance is not bliss, ignorance is the creator of bigotry. Break the ignorance, and in turn, the hatred will be broken as well.
